Results!
More than I ever dreamed I could achieve! Not only
have I lost weight, but I have lost body fat percentage
and gained muscle. I have so much more energy now.
I am stronger, not just physically, but mentally and
emotionally, thanks to Chad. My balance has improved
a great deal from that first day, and my muscles have
responded to our many workouts by becoming toned and
sculpted. But it's the little things that I notice
and that make me smile. When I ride on the motorcycle
my arms no longer flap like wings in the breeze, they
are firm. And when I sit down I can look straight
down and see all of my legs, instead of the large
mound of fat that I carried for so many years obstructing
my view. Best of all, I now have the stamina to keep
up with my 4-year old grandson, Jake, who is all boy,
and know that I will have many more years growing
with him because of the wonderful gifts of proper
diet and exercise that Chad has taught me to develop,
as well as a positive attitude to achieve what is

I
just wanted to thank you all for all you've done for
me over the last 10 months, with your help and the
Weight Watchers program I've gone from a personal
weight high of 348 lbs To my present weight of 215
lbs, I still have a little ways to go but I know with
you behind me as well as my family and friends that
I will get to my goal weight of 200 lbs. I was right
on the verge of going over that line of no return.
I had high blood pressure and was on medication and
I was prediabetic, My cholesterol was out of sight,
My personal health was very bad not to mention that
it was all I could do just to walk up a flight of
stairs without having to stop to catch my breath.
Today I'm in the best shape that I've been in, in
many years, Not since I was in the Army have I felt
so good, and that was more then 22 years ago, I am
also off all my medications, and there is no sign
of Diabetes or High blood pressure and my Cholesterol
is shaping up as well. I want to thank you all for

After
two years, retirement living "southern style"
had caught up to me. A new home and lifestyle plus
the stress of having my son deployed to Iraq all contributed
to me being out of shape. I

I reflect on my first full year with Shaping Concepts-more
particularly Chad and Hilary - I am amazed at the progress
I have made. I
originally came to the Shaping Concepts gym kicking
and screaming, to partner with my wife Linda in a one
week "spouses train free" special. Well, one
week became two and then three and before I knew it
I was a full paying customer with my own trainer and
customized workouts.
I
am a numbers guy by profession and that's the best
way I know to report my results to date. My weight
has dropped from 235 pounds on day one to 216 pounds
as I write this. My body fat has dropped from 34%
to 26%. In short, I have reduced my weight and added
muscle, as perhaps you might expect.
But
my numbers go beyond that. What I am most excited
about is the fact that my blood pressure (which often
ran in excess of 145/85) is now regularly in the 120/80
range. I am also much more sensitive to my nutritional
habits.

line-I feel great and many say I look great as well.
I

have always been a little bit of a fitness buff and
workout regularly, but I found I wasnt really
pushing myself. When I started looking for trainers

use different kinds of equipment and each time we do

Concepts program a few weeks ago, I am definitely noticing
a difference in the way I look and feel. Although Ive
only lost a few pounds, Im very excited at how
much tighter my body isless flabbiness and more
muscle definition. My clothes are fitting better and
some are even loose! As a result of attending the Body

more years than I can even think of, I have been battling
my weight. It has affected my career, my personal life
and left me in medical terms, as morbidly obese.
I recently turned 50 and felt like if I didnt
do something now, my life would not last much longer.
I had tried every diet known to man with very poor results.
Then one day I was going into Dominos for pizza
when I saw next door was a place called Shaping
Concepts. After talking to my doctor I decided
to go the route of exercise and good eating. (To which
he had been telling me for years to help combat my diabetes)

130/90 to 112/66 and my blood sugar numbers are coming

of these kids went out of their way to make me feel
it was possible to do the things that would make me
stronger. Each one was inspiring as well as encouraging.
It was interesting. They told about how they kept their
training up. And made being able to do exercises seem
like fun, which was new to me.
No
one ever gave me something I could not do. I did not
go home in pain and it was never boring. I learned
that fire fighters walk backwards to gain strength.
I had never played ball before and they were so kind
and encouraging that I wondered whether [like that
sweet girl] I'd soon be playing ball. Each person
who helped me opened a view of the world of physical
activity which looked attractive and beneficial. No
one scolded me or tried to make me feel guilty, or
poor at what I was doing.
It
is good to hear, "You are stronger than I thought
you would be". "You are going to be able
to go out boating soon". These kids set it up
so I will do well; so it's a pleasure to go there.
And I am getting stronger and I'm sure I'm going to
be able to reach my goals.

athlete out in me that had been lost since high school.

| I
used to be one of those people who "went"
to the gym maybe twice a week. Once there, I was lost.
I would watch others to see what they were doing. Each
time I would try different machines, based on what people
were doing that day. That NEVER worked. Then I felt
as if it did not matter, I would never get "it"
right and shape up my body. I was that person who went
to the grocery store and did not know what to buy. After
trying everything from Atkins to South Beach, I was
at a total loss when it came to buying food. Feeling
that no matter what I did, it was not going to work
for me.
Having
my own consulting company, I often talk in front of
groups of people. One of the things I say the most
is "ACCOUNTABILITY". That was it! Once I
started with Shaping
Concepts,
it held me accountable for my workouts. That is what
works for me. Since then I have learned how to work
out, what to eat to help with my body type and what
foods are good for my body.
This
